Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

New Range Counseling is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

Under the federal No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance to pay for healthcare services generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their care.

Because the length and frequency of psychotherapy cannot always be predicted in advance, your estimate may be based on the anticipated frequency of sessions over a specified period of time. Your actual treatment needs may change, and an updated estimate may be provided when appropriate.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive the services listed in the estimate.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
